Purpose of Role: To manage your own workload on both; current detailed design & construction jobs and in the preparation of budgets/tenders in a productive and timely manner, whilst maintaining a vigilant focus on “Risk” in your work with respect to H&S, geotechnical and commercial aspects with a focus on good customer service, quality and the securement and generation of long lasting relationships with Clients to encourage profitable repeat business to meet the division’s yearly budget.
Key Roles and Responsiblities:
To be an active & contributory member of an enthusiastic design & construct team.
To design a range of retaining wall and slope reinforcement solutions with gravity, reinforced soil or soil nailing systems.
To cost, budget, tender, negotiate and secure orders.
To undertake Geotechnical analysis / solution design using in-house and commercially available software in accordance with the relevant Codes of Practice, and prepare detailed Geotechnical Design reports.
To prepare detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD.
Minimum Experience and Qualifactions:
Degree in Civil Engineering.
IT literate, Excel, Word and AutoCAD.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Post graduate qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
Some previous experience in geotechnical design, site investigation, report preparation and the construction environment.
Working towards chartership of a related professional body. |
