ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
· Excel & Word,
· 10 -15 years experience in petrochemical estimating minimum
PREFERRED SKILLS:
· 10 -15 years experience estimating for the petrochemical industry.
· Supervisory and presentation skills
· While work effort will not require development of mto`s or subcontract packages, an understanding of the work involved in doing this type of effort is beneficial.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Work effort will involve leading a project estimating team in the development of all levels of estimates from conceptual to lump sum. Support of cost engineering with regards to establishment of control estimates, change/variation control and check estimates. Presentation of estimate to senior management.
Work effort does not involve mto take-off from engineering drawings but requires a sound knowledge of qty data, standard benchmarks and construction practices to allow assessment of the completeness of engineering developed bom`s and boq`s.
