Civils Estimator
Purpose of the Role
Ø To help develop and secure business in line with the Company objectives
Ø To ensure the technical and commercial performance of the estimating/proposals function
Ø To ensure compliance with the Company`s procedures, policies and approved signatories and authorisation limits
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Ø Review enquiry documentation to determine technical and commercial compliance, identify risk, allocate the requirements for support resources and ensure completion deadlines are met
Ø Ensure that the process of producing the estimates for the business is in line with the Company procedures and protocols
Ø Ensure that the Proposals are client driven and focused on customer requirements.
Ø Work with other members of the management team by producing /introducing information which will give a positive edge to the submission
Ø Liase with the customer before, during and after the bidding process
Ø Liase with the Business Head, the Head of Commercial and Head of Proposals during the bid process to enable a complete risk assessment to be carried out.
Ø Assist in the delivery of presentation to customers in co-operation with other parts of the Daniel Contractors Ltd business.
Ø Ensure positive communication both internally and externally.

Ø Have a working knowledge of HSE policies, procedures and legislation
Ø Good level of education and experience
Desirable
Ø Experience of site construction work in Civil Engineering in a management and/or engineering role (mainly in the water and wastewater sectors).
Ø Experience of estimating for Civil Engineering works - mainly water, wastewater, drainage, groundwork`s, roads
