Due to exceptional growth the Company has now got an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Support Engineer.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Ø To support new product industrialisation, provide linkage between development and production to ensure optimised design for manufacturing.
Ø To provide engineering input to lean manufacturing activity.
Ø To liaise with Production Engineers in overall manufacturability and economics of designs.
MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES:
Ø Help to define product industrialisation strategy and work closely with development, production, quality and sourcing teams to drive the industrialisation program
Ø Working within team of engineers, draughtsmen and technicians applying lean principle and engineering best practice in all areas of product design to ensure optimal design for manufacturing.
Ø Define production test strategy and assist the design of production test rigs.
Ø Planning and conduct FMEA activities
Ø Conduct value engineering activities to continuously improve product manufacturing cost
Ø Feedback any manufacturing and quality issues to Engineering and liaise with appropriate engineers to timely resolve the issues.
Ø Maintain the product bill of materials and parts specification database using the manufacturing ERP system

Ø Degree level in Engineering
Experience:
Ø Over three years experience as manufacturing engineer in volume manufacturing environment.
Ø Kaizan / Lean engineering

Circumstances:
Ø Clean UK Driving Licence
DESIRABLE:
Qualifications/Training:
Ø Degree in manufacturing engineering Six-sigma Green belt or above
