Job Title: Chartered Or Near Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer

My client is an expanding, Civil and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy with offices in Derby, London, Glasgow, York and Uttoxeter. They have a position for a chartered or near to becoming chartered Civil/Structural Engineer based in their Derby office.
Ø The ideal candidate will have design experience within a consultancy background with experience in reinforced concrete design as related to bridges and/or water industry and/or tunnels
Ø Knowledge and experience within the rail industry is an advantage
Ø Must have a degree in civil engineering
Ø Ideally chartered or working towards chartered status
Ø Highly developed communication skills with the ability to confidently liaise with clients
Ø Must be highly literate with the ability to competently write reports
Ø Minimum of 5 years design and analysis experience
Ø Preparation and checking of calculations, written reports and checking of contract drawings
Ø Liaison with clients, attending meetings on site, progress meetings, design review meetings
Ø Project management including cost/commercial aspects of projects
