OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Ensure that SWP product quality improves
MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES:
Technical activities:
Customer quality
Ø Ensure that all products returned by customers are analyzed
Ø Perform customer data analysis to identify issues to be analyzed by technical experts
Ø Ensure that action plans are set in place and followed.
Ø Communicate the progress factor to team and management and alert if progress is behind target
Internal Production
Ø Design and keep up-to-date the product quality assurance plan and quality control plan in coordination with floor inspectors
Ø Facilitate FMEAs before introduction of modification
Ø Say "No" to unauthorized product/process deviations
Ø Alert line manager and escalate if necessary through functional reporting
Ø Validate deviation or waiver requests after having obtained technical advice
Ø Isolate defective parts for further treatment (reject, rework, sorting, deviation…)
Ø Ensure that all products found defective are analyzed
Ø Participate to daily QRQC meeting: analyze the problem, find the root cause and define action plans by applying PDCA and Problem Solving Quality Tools
Ø Inform SQA engineer, about supplier related issues
Ø Check that corrective action plans based on the PDCA methodology are put in place and verify their efficiency

Internal: Production (Strong interaction with team leaders and operators), Supplier Quality (incidents due to suppliers non-conformities…), R&D (feedback to FMEA, change of specifications…), Logistics (to be sure supplies are guaranteed in case of defective batches, defective parts…)

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential:
Professional Skills:
Ø Full technical knowledge of product measurement/control techniques, use of measuring (dimensional + physical) tools, devices and machines
Ø Good technical knowledge of the product/process technologies for which you are responsible
Ø Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of quality standards and tools common in the mass production industry (MIL standards, AQL, FMEA, SPC, PDCA…)
Ø Excellent knowledge and practical experience of problem solving techniques and tools
Ø Basic knowledge of statistics
Ø Good communication, leadership and team work abilities Qualifications/Training
Previous Experience:
Quality control, incoming inspection, manufacturing in the high-volume production industry with at least 5 years professional experience
Higher Education/Degrees:
HNC/Degree or equivalent with significant professional experience
Desirable:

Experience of volume production environment.
