OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The overall objective of the role is to ensure all customer demand is managed to provide efficient and effective planning of production and repair requirements, to optimize stock levels and customer satisfaction through timely release of work orders, control of raw materials and sub-contractors.
MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES.
Ø To identify customer requirements through the interrogation of customer forecasts, internal sales forecasts utilizing MfgPro to provide accurate sales order forecast for the manufacturing plant
Ø To generate production and capacity plans that are communicated and reviewed with Manufacturing and local Sales teams
Ø To challenge the data and systems information, ensuring accuracy of information at all times.
Ø To ensure that all customer requirements are efficiently and effectively planned and scheduled to maintain appropriate stock levels and achieve on time deliveries.
Ø To ensure that MfgPro data is accurate through regular reviews and audits of the system including a monthly realignment process reviewing queues and static work
Ø To manage and report on the status of overdue orders
Ø To manage and issue reject and balance remakes
Ø To communicate daily and weekly with Manufacturing in relation to any changes, forward load and capacity requirements, identifying any possible issues and solutions
Ø To monitor, review and identify requirements for raw materials, tooling and bought out parts to ensure purchase orders are placed and progressed accordingly
Ø To carry out analysis, identify root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions
Ø To champion and manage specific improvement projects to deliver Quality, Cost and Delivery.

Qualifications/Training:
HNC or equivalent in manufacturing discipline
Experience:
Ø 5 years appropriate MRP exposure
Ø Good general engineering exposure
Ø Continuous improvement exposure
Ø Comprehensive understanding of MRP systems
Ø Fully PC literate in Microsoft tools

Ø Degree in manufacturing related subject
Ø Several years in Master Scheduler role in electro-mechanical assembly
Ø First line manager in production or Senior planning role

Ø Expert level in Microsoft tools.
