Job Title: Divisional Director (Structures)
Location:Rossett (Wrexham)
My Client is a leading professional services consultancy of over 2000 people, providing advice and project management across a wide range of service sectors in the UK, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. My client`s name is synonymous with innovation, professionalism and a solid track record of delivering a timely and quality service.
They are looking to appoint an experienced Structural Engineer to lead a team in the provision of professional consultancy services relating to structural engineering and development projects.
Job Purpose: Business development of the Structures department .
Specific Duties:
· Ensure both the team and individual deliver against agreed revenue and developmental targets
· Leadership and management of the design standards and design output of the office
· Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with my clients ethos.
· Preparation of the business plan for Structural Engineering in Rossett and regular monitoring of performance against the approved plan
· Bid preparation, fee setting, and all aspects of the management of projects, including financial management
· Reporting, as appropriate, both to clients and to the Rossett Director
· Management of staff including recruitment, staff appraisals, the setting and monitoring of objectives, and ensuring that training and development needs are identified and addressed
· Membership of my client`s Rossett management team
· Liaison with other Directors / offices to ensure maximum efficiency in the completion of work
Qualifications and Experience: Candidates will need to have had significant experience of working in a consultancy or Local and/or Central Government environment, and of working in a contractor environment. They will also need to be skilled in project planning and management, have proven client and stakeholder skills, as well as a detailed knowledge of relevant design standards and codes.`
