The role will be as an Engineer within the Control, Electrical & Instrumentation (CEI) section of the Plant Design & Projects (PD&P) function reporting to the CEI Design Manager but under the direct supervision of the Project Lead Engineer.
Role profile:
Production of detailed technical specifications for the project, including equipment functional specifications and control system logic specifications. Working with subcontractors, checking and approval of detail design drawing. Checking of suppliers` test specifications and possible attendance of tests at suppliers` factories. Liaise with the Lead CEI Engineer and other specialist engineers within the section to understand the CEI requirements to ensure the satisfactory delivery of work. Presentation of information for design and safety reviews. Specifying and checking designs of subcontractors to confirm compliance with requirements. Weekly travel to UK office in Chester. Frequent travel to European suppliers and other sites
Qualifications & Experience:
A good quality degree in electrical or electronic engineering. Experience of specifying or designing control systems for a range of applications in process factories and the capability to produce high quality written specifications and reports. Experience of work with a range of subcontractors in a multinational organisation and supervision of the provision of design information by subcontractors. Some practical experience of equipment testing. Good interpersonal skills and a high level of computer literacy including the ability to use spreadsheets to perform engineering analysis. The generation of logic diagrams using Visio is desirable. An ability to speak French, Dutch or German in addition to English would be an advantage
The role offers c. £40,000 per annum + bonus + great benefits. Based UK ideally North West. |
