Key Tasks:
To provide drawings for manufacture and assembly.
To provide back up to Sales department in the form of preparation of submittals.
To liaise when necessary with subsidiaries and licensees.
To prepare necessary engineering change reports.
To assist in the maintenance of product quality standards.
To assist in the generation of CAD and drawing office standards.
To be aware of necessary approvals and certification requirements for each application.
To liaise with the Product Assessment department in the testing of various assemblies.
To liaise with suppliers of proprietary and Company designed products, clarifying technical and other queries. To assist production when necessary to ensure assembly is trouble free.
To be fully conversant with company products.
To be fully conversant with the set-up and maintenance of engineering elements of the manufacturing system.
Required Attributes:
Enthusiasm and self-motivation would be a necessary asset.
Personal Specification:
HNC or equivalent in engineering - mechatronics would be desirable. An engineering apprenticeship followed by experience in engineering drawing office procedures.
A working knowledge of CAD systems would be an advantage, as would experience in working environments where project management is practiced.
