My client are currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join their expanding team.
Principal Accountabilities:
For Construction Contracts. Tender Support and Studies:
Prepare design calculations and drawings or sketches to support the engineering design activities.
Prepare method statements and procedures to support the engineering design activities
Provide engineering support for tenders, projects and studies.
Provide technical reports and recommendations as necessary to support the engineering department with respect to the design activities required for particular projects.
Provide input to completing of As-Built drawings and Close-Out reports etc.
Maintain quality and design control in accordance with ISO 9001 and Engineering Department Procedure DP07.
Responsibilities:
Through detail design, ensure proposed construction schemes are realistic, achievable and cost effective. Maintain accuracy and suitability of layouts and details. Provide/facilitate effective communication and co-ordination as required with project, construction and operations personnel to ensure effective and efficient development of design.
Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehensive level of engineering knowledge is required, over a broad range of areas including both civil and mechanical engineering disciplines. Pipeline knowledge advantageous.
In addition to above, knowledge of company procedures and systems, H&S issues, environmental and CDM regulations.
An engineer with experience in the design of temporary work for the support of pipeline installations both inshore and offshore and a working understanding of marine equipment.
It is anticipated that engineers will be qualified to HNC Mechanical or Civil Engineering with site experience or time-served apprenticeship in the relevant discipline. |
