My client are currently looking for a DCS Engineer with experience of Honeywell TDC 2000 & 3000.
Key Responsibilities:
Our client uses Honeywell TDC 2000 / 3000 systems and they require additional engineering effort to assist their current site based support effort in providing:
• Day to day support / assistance.
• Required modification design and implementation.
The client is investigating the potential for medium term updates on the existing systems including baseline system upgrades. It is anticipated that the successful DCS engineer would be involved in these investigations.
The DCS engineer must be capable of promoting a positive and professional image to the client and ensure that this is enhanced by successful completion of the various work packages.
It is anticipated that the requirements will be full time for a minimum period of 4 weeks with the scope to extend further. The position is site based and the engineer will report to their site based support manager.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be based onsite and will be responsible for performing support and modifications to client`s systems and providing general system support. The requirement is to supply constructive advice in the maintainability of the current system as well as optimisation options to increase the efficiency of the current system.
Close liaison with the client will be required for this role. A control system replacement is not presently an option, and all effort is to be made to maximise system uptime.
Essential Skills:
Good experience of Honeywell TDC2000 / TDC3000 is mandatory.
Experience of working in production environments is required.
Other Preferred Skills:
Understanding of instrumentation signals and the ability to fault find on I/O subsystems and I/O subsystems that use buses such as Profibus.
Practical experience of PC based office systems preferably Microsoft Office suite.
Good documentation and communication skills are essential given that the role is site based.
Ability to work on customer`s sites on own.
To represent and enhance the company`s image in related technical areas. To be able to quickly gain the confidence of the customer and internal staff. |
