Specialist Engineer (Mechanical)

 

Relevant Skills and Experience:

A qualified Mechanical / Structural Engineer (CEng) with strong experience of structural analysis and design in the railway industry.

 

Broad knowledge of traction and rolling stock engineering. Extensive knowledge of structure design development and repair, proof ultimate fatigue and crashworthiness principles, hand calculations, computer solutions and Finite Element Analysis techniques. Involvement throughout design life, from feasibility through design, development, certification, in-service support, repair, refurbishment and life extension.

 

Experienced Project Manager with ability to deliver projects on time, on budget and of the appropriate quality level.

 

Experienced Team Manager with ability to run, co-ordinate and motivate group of specialist engineers on various projects.

 

Skilled communicator and report writer, able to present technical proposals and solutions at all levels within an organisation.

 

Experienced in winning work.
