My client are currently looking for a Project Lead Safety Engineer to join their expanding team in Cheshire.
Job Purpose:
To take technical responsibility within an individual project, for all disciplines.
To provide technical and organisational lead to all engineering persons within a project team.
To be the primary technical contact point both internal and external within a specified project for all aspects of design and implementation.
To manage the production and delivery of the Functional design Specification for the DCS, SIS, & E&I elements of a project from a technical viewpoint as defined in the project URS; This includes ownership of all technical documents for all disciplines.
To produce or lead the production of detailed design specifications from the user I/O lists and sequence specification documents.
To supervise or implement the detailed design, by producing functional drawings (using engineering building tools), to implement control system functions. This generally includes all regulatory control, interlock sequences, function blocks, interpretation of C&E and graphic screen design.
To carry out system testing either at the company`s premises or the customer site.
To assist in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of equipment on site; this could include UK, overseas or offshore sites.
To provide technical leadership within your own discipline across a number of projects, including responsibility for any designs, templates, processes and procedures which are adopted as company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and production of control and safety systems under direction the Engineering Manager.
Provide progress, expenditure and forecast information to the Project Manager and Engineering Manager.
To work to the requirements of the user specifications and the company work instructions and procedures.
To produce all required documentation.
Qualifications:
Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering, Computing or Process Control.
BOSIET and medical certificate for offshore working or willingness to undergo training.
Experience:
Strong process control engineering experience ideally within Oil and Gas industry.
SIS configuration experience within process control systems.
Proven team leadership skills within a major project environment.
Complex control and sequencing experience.
