My client is a fast growing company specialising in providing industrial control systems application software to both blue chip and smaller clients.  This includes the design, installation and commissioning of control systems ranging from pharmaceutical manufacturing plants to petrochemical industries.

 

The company requires a determined PLC/SCADA Design Engineer who has experience in the following:

PLC programming (preferably Siemens S7).

SCADA programming (preferably Wonderware Application Server 3.0 or Intouch).

C++, HTML, JAVA, SQL, VB (advantageous but not essential).

 

Although the position mainly involves the design of control systems software, an appreciation of systems hardware would also be advantageous. It is essential that the successful candidate should have the ability to integrate well with a team as well as being self-motivated and willing to expand their knowledge. Duties also include producing functional design specifications, test procedures and operator & maintenance manuals.

 

The position is located in South Yorkshire. Some site work will be required for installation and commissioning of the control system software.
